Why have we chosen to support Mind in Bradford?

Fundraising and working with charities is a big part of our culture at Broughton, it’s important to use our platform and resources to raise awareness and support employees with their mental health. In 2023 the Broughton Team got active to raise funds for Mind in Bradford by participating in the 600mile challenge. This was Broughton’s third year participating in the challenge, it’s a great way to bring the team together with some healthy competition and make the most of the end-of-summer weather.

Broughton has also participated in awareness days such as World Mental Health Day and ‘Wear it Green Day’ for Mental Health Awareness Week, where we had a smoothie-making morning and, of course, encouraged everyone to wear green to show their support. In October, for Stress Awareness Day, we held a Tea & Talk morning with quizzes and cake to encourage discussions about things other than work.

Broughton is always looking for opportunities to raise awareness for mental health and work with charities in this area. Christmas can be an incredibly lonely time for some, and the services that Mind in Bradford can offer by running the Winter Appeal are invaluable.
